Archive for February, 2012

These verses can be read on the days assigned (26 days – all being weekdays up until Easter Sunday weekend which includes Saturday). They can also be read in other increments. These are some of the key events of the story of Jesus Christ just prior to the “triumphal entry” all the way through the cross and resurrection. There is a balanced view of Gospel perspectives represented, and some of the days’ readings are much longer than others in order to maintain certain times, places, and themes. Be encouraged to pray through these verses while responding with expressions of praise, confession, personal prayer requests, and the prayer needs of others (Eph. 6:17-18). In keeping with “The Thorn” themes, be prayerfully focused on this being the greatest true story of love, sacrifice, and hope. Also, in faith, be challenged to personalize it – that it may become, in some ways, your own story.
